One day, I will have days off from work that take us farther away than the tiny spots of wild in Apex sandwiched between housing developments and busy roads, or the thicket of our property where Thorn, the Back Yard Panther reigns and my boy moves leaves around with a broken rake telling me, "I'm cleaning, Mommy. I'm cleaning!" In the meantime, it's still pretty nice. I love almost-winter as much as I love almost-autumn.
